The 5.0 Liter V8 in the R-Spec model will produce 429 horsepower and 376 ft. pounds of torque, the most ever for a Hyundai-produced engine. It will also have an eight-speed automatic transmission, a sport-tuned suspension, redesigned front fascia, 19-inch wheels and much more.

  1. Did you go to the Chicago Auto Show? I hope you get to test the Camaro too. Cars are really getting beefed up now-a-days.

  2. The Car Exam says:

I was a “remote viewer” for that one–but I have driven the 2010 400hp Camaro SS with the automatic transmission (The Car Exam Quick Quiz #8: The Chevrolet Camaro (2) SS–on 3/22/10), as well as the 306hp V6 Sinergy Green model (The Car Exam Quick Quiz #20: The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro V6-on 8/4/10). The SS is quick, and expect the 2012 ZL1 (expected to be around 550hp) to be even faster! With the Camaro, the Corvette, the Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger around, the new Muscle era is alive and well–but will the new government fuel economy standards put the brakes on it? We will see as time passes and engine technology evolves. 🙂
